REACH Compliance Consulting
REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) governs how chemical substances and mixtures in your product can be used in Europe. If you sell into the EU, or plan to, this assessment catches up with you sooner or later — we own it, from scope to technical file.

Key Facts
- In force since
- June 1, 2007
- Registration threshold
- 1 tonne or more per year (manufactured/imported)
- SVHC notification threshold
- 0.1% by weight
- Regulatory body

Who needs this?
Applies to manufacturers across electronics, textiles, toys, chemicals, automotive suppliers, cosmetics, and packaging — particularly those shipping products to the EU or working with EU-based customers, for whom REACH compliance has become a standard requirement.
One important point: the importer into the EU carries the compliance responsibility, not the overseas manufacturer. If you're selling to an EU company, it's usually you or your buyer who has to demonstrate REACH compliance.
One development we're tracking: ECHA has proposed a broad restriction on PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), which will increasingly affect textiles, packaging, and coated products that need water/oil repellency. We also support you in collecting a valid Full Material Declaration (FMD) from your suppliers — this is where many companies get stuck.
Which Products Are Affected?
- Electronic boards and cable assemblies
- Textiles and outerwear (dyes, finishing chemicals)
- Toys and children's products
- Cosmetics packaging and filling equipment
- Automotive supply parts (seals, cables, plastic components)
- Furniture and wood coatings
We don't sell you a magic compliance certificate — we manage a documentation process backed by real laboratory test reports, so you don't get stuck at customs or during an audit.
What TICQA Provides
We own the entire process, from scope definition to preparing the technical file: your testing is carried out through our accredited laboratory infrastructure under our direct coordination, and we interpret the results and prepare your technical file ourselves. You deal with one contact throughout, not a chain of hand-offs.
How the Process Works
Scope Assessment
We screen the chemical substances and mixtures in your product against REACH, including the SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) list and restriction annexes.
Testing and Analysis
Required chemical analyses are carried out through our TÜRKAK-accredited laboratory infrastructure, within the scope of ISO/IEC 17025.
Reporting and Declaration of Conformity
We consolidate test results for the dozens or hundreds of components in your product into a single technical file, and put your compliance status — along with any next steps such as notification or labeling — in a clear report.
What We Need From You
- Product sample or prototype
- Material/component list (BOM, if available)
- Material declarations from suppliers (if available)
- Previous test reports (if any)
What You'll Receive
- Laboratory test report (results by substance)
- REACH declaration of conformity
- Supply chain notification text, if required
- Summary report you can add to your technical file
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does REACH testing take?
Timing depends on the number of substances/mixtures to be tested and lab workload. Once the scope is clear, we give you a firm timeline.
Is REACH testing required for every product?
No — testing is only required if the chemical substances/mixtures in your product appear on the SVHC list or restriction annexes. If you're not sure, our compliance checker can give you a preliminary read.
My supplier won't give me a material declaration, what should I do?
This is a common situation. We guide you on how to request a valid declaration from your supplier.
